The group has successfully completed more than 250 projects as a main contractor. Our projects to date have included hotels, low and high rise residential schemes, high end homes, cultural and religious centres, industrial, schools and office buildings.
In 2020, the business decided to diversify further and began work on MY’s own Off-Site Construction and Fabrication Facility – MY-Fab. MY-Fab allows us to exploit, where and when appropriate, the many advantages of Modular Construction; reduction in environmental impact, increased timeline and cost predictability, a highly superior product and a substantial reduction in site interruption (both in duration and intensity).
Our commitment to deliver projects, no matter what, has been one of the main drivers of our success, and has become part of the MY “DNA”.
We consider our structure the second element of the MY “DNA”. MYC Group has evolved and developed into a group of companies. This group structure has allowed us the flexibility to deliver a wide range of projects, in an efficient and controlled manner.
The third main element of the MY “DNA” is our continuous strive to improve and become better. We always look for new methods, technologies and systems that can help us enhance our abilities. MYC Group is proud to have won several national and international awards, including the British Homes Award, the Marie Claire Sustainability Award, and the CN Award.
With a circa 450 strong team we offer the client far more control over the construction process, significantly reducing risk – and cutting out the “margin on margin” element of using sub-contractors. We self-deliver the vast majority of our work.
Whole room modules, bathroom pods, facades systems and structural steel.
The 100,000 square foot MY-Fab facility is sat on 6 acres of land in the Lodge Farm Industrial Estate in Northampton, strategically located a stone throw from the M1, allowing us easy access across the UK.
MY-Fab’s products were designed with quality and flexibility at their core, making them superior to many systems currently in the market in both the range of the product and the variety of design options.
We made our name in the super prime market, now we want to bring that experience, quality and value for money to the modular construction sector.
MYC Group also has its own in-house design team with architects, structural engineers, MEP specialists and environmental engineers, who escort the project delivery from preconstruction to handover.
This allows us to unify our supply chain, bring all the relevant professionals under one roof, working in a coordinated and streamlined process and allow for material independence, programme efficiencies and true value engineering.
As well as our in-house capabilities, we have a large and well-established supply chain, all of whom have worked with us on Super-Prime projects. We always look to get best value from our supply chain and pass this on to our client.
Our Wembley based facility again reduces risk. Several of our clients are using it for vesting materials, locking in prices. Buying at the best price available.
We use Wembley for all our projects. It allows us to check the quality of every delivery before it comes to site – especially relevant for fine finish and delicate items, such as complex MEP systems and joinery.
We have a full range of vehicles, ranging from small vans though to full-size articulated lorries.
We will deliver to site just in time from our consolidation centre. All under our direct and full control.
To ride out the price fluctuations and on-going availability issues in the market, we have set out our own builders’ merchant – MY-Merchant.
Based at our Wembley consolidation centre, we have a team of 6 dedicated buyers who scour the globe for the best products for our projects.
We have a long list of happy repeat clients for whom we have delivered open book projects. We know how to make this work.
